Hoped That the electricity bills will not be high in the coming days, caretaker Prime Minister



New York: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar has said that we are bringing reforms in the energy sector. It is hoped that the electricity bills will not be high in the coming days.

He said this while giving an interview to the media in New York. The caretaker prime minister has arrived there to address the United Nations General Assembly session.

He said that the people of Occupied Kashmir are victims of atrocities and will present this issue at the international level today, irrespective of the governments, they should continue to present their position on the issue of Kashmir at the international level.

Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar said that India is oppressing Kashmir and now it is also doing operations in Canada. The leader of the Khalistan movement was killed by Indian agents on Canadian soil. The growing extremism in India is a threat to the peace of the region, the Hindutva ideology can plunge the world into war and fire.

On the question regarding the high electricity bills in the country, he said that the IMF has expressed satisfaction on our actions, we are bringing reforms in the energy sector, we hope that the electricity bills will not be high in the coming days. The contracts with the IPPs are such that the payment has to be made whether the electricity is produced or not.

He said that we are taking practical measures to prevent trafficking, we are taking all measures to improve the economy and the IMF is satisfied with our measures, the welfare of the downtrodden is our priority, to give relief to the poor. The wealthy should play their role.

The caretaker prime minister further said that climate change and Islamophobia will be discussed at the UN meeting today.
